Assignment 1: Understand Theory & Application used within Computer Game Graphics




You are an apprenticeship games designer working for a small games developer in the East Midlands.
Your manager has requested that you research and understand the theory and application of creating assets for computer games.

Learning Outcomes Unit 78:
P1:Summarise accurately theory and applications of digital graphics used for computer games with some appropriate use of subject terminology
M1: Explain theory and applications of digital graphics used for computer games with reference to detailed illustrative examples and with generally correct use of subject terminology
D1: Comprehensively explain theory and applications of digital graphics used for computer games with elucidated examples and consistently using subject terminology correctly
Using this research, compare and contrast the digital graphics of at least two digital computer games using relevant illustrative examples. One must be 2D and one must be 3D.

Task 1)

Using your research, compare and contrast the digital graphics of at least two digital computer games using relevant illustrative examples. One must be 2D and one must be 3D.

You must include, Artistic style, Computer game graphics, Pixel, Types of Digital Graphics, File Extensions, Compression, Image Capture, Optimising, and Storage of Image Assets. 

It is important you consider the elements you have researched.
